Biography

Ms. Jakiemiec dedicated her legal education to health law and is now leveraging both her in-house and litigation experience to serve tribal governments and tribally owned businesses. She has experience in diverse legal settings, including the office of general counsel for a major hospital system and a small plaintiff’s medical malpractice firm. She is committed to making legal solutions more accessible to ordinary individuals, particularly those in historically underserved communities.


During her time at the Health Law Clinic at Case Western Reserve University, Ms. Jakiemiec represented clients in various social security disability matters in front of administrative law judges, helping them secure benefits. She also took on a leadership role in organizing the Health Law Clinic’s twice-yearly Wills Clinic, where community members could receive assistance drafting and filing basic wills, power of attorney documents, and healthcare advanced directives, free of charge.


In law school, Ms. Jakiemiec helped found the Law and Political Economy Society, where she organized events aimed at examining the connections between law, politics, and economics, emphasizing how these legal frameworks materially impact individuals and communities.


Before attending law school, Ms. Jakiemiec gained experience as a certified nursing assistant and a substitute teacher. These roles have profoundly influenced her perspective on the importance of communication and understanding in building trust and fostering strong client relationships. Equipped with a diverse skill set, Ms. Jakiemiec is enthusiastic about applying her expertise to serve her clients’ needs.
